Living Word Church is devoted to Prayer. Prayer and the study and use of God's Word are not simply spiritual acttivities; they are the basis of spiritual living. We diligently apply ourselves to the noble art of praying with a lifestyle of prayer--making all the day, everyday, a running conversation with God. Personal devotion time is enriched by combining prayer with fasting. We have special and consistent times set apart for praying, the daily time dedicated to conversing with God, the monthly prayer group meetings, and other designated times of prayer.

Men's Ministry is a dynamic group that helps men be a part of something larger than themselves. We provide plenty of opportunity for fellowship and conversation. The Men's Ministry gives men permission to come along at their own pace all in an effort to discover God's purpose for their lives. We enjoy plenty of events but are not event driven but relationship driven.

LADIES' MINISTRY

Ladies’ Ministry focuses on the needs and growth of the ladies in our church and community. We enjoy ladies prayer once a month. At our prayer meetings, a thought from the Word of God is shared and we carry special prayer requests to God together. This is a very uplifting time of growth. Additionally, we have special prayer for our children and share our burdens with one another. Finally, we love to fellowship. Our Ladies Ministry plans outings and attend conferences as a group on a regular basis.

As young men and women, we are all ministers of Christ and His kingdom, and Paul encourages us to fulfill our call and Christian responsibility... "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it." Col 4:1. Our Mission is two-fold: To grow internally in Christ through teaching and applying biblical truths, and to shift our passion outward to reach real people with real issues and point them to Jesus. Hyphen meets every Wednesday night for small group bible study, ages 18 - 30. We welcome you!

Impact Youth Ministry is a community-wide movement of students who are passionately pursuing Jesus Christ in all that we are and in everything we do. We are not perfect, nor will we ever be, but by God’s endless grace and His relentless forgiveness we are able to become more like Him. We hold Wednesday night classes and enjoy power packed Youth events on Friday night. Come join and help us make a difference in our lives, in our community, and in the world.

Kids of Faith Children's Ministry is a energy-charged ministry designed to show younger children fundamental truths about living for God by sharing the Gospel message. All lessons are built around a theme.
The great thing about Faith Kidz is that we brings God's Word alive, at our kids level, through praise and worship, prayer, memory verses and interactive bible stories. Along with these themes we also focus on prayer and evangelism. The kids also meet Wednesday nights for more of God's Word and a lesson which encourages them to live a faith-filled life. In the upcoming years, our vision is to reach out into our community inviting children and families to participate in fun, friendly activities all centered on God's Word.

Home Bible Studies Ministry offers personal home Bible studies to individuals and groups interested in understanding the fundamental truths about salvation and living for God. We have several experienced Bible study teachers available. Bible studies are scheduled at your convenience and can be held in the comfort of your own home.

The Greeter's Ministry is in place to ensure that everyone who attends Living Word Church knows they are welcome. Our hostesses and ushers will warmly welcome you with outstretched hands and a smile. We strive to create an atmosphere of genuine love, concern, and care, while establishing a positive relationship with our guests. As you leave, it is our goal to once again acknowledge you and extend a personal invitation to return to future services or special events.

Living Word Church is blessed with many talented individuals. Our primary purpose in the music department is to join our talents together to promote a spirit of worship and praise to our Savior. We view our music as another avenue to express what the Lord has done in our lives. Throughout the year, we have several special services featuring our many gifted singers. Our music department has led worship in several Nursing Homes and events in the community. In addition, we have individual and group music specials at our Sunday morning services. We welcome you to worship with us as we praise and lift up the wonderful name of Jesus!

OUTREACH MINISTRY

The main goal of the Outreach Ministry is to help equip the body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission. In keeping with this goal, the Outreach Department has instituted a number of programs that are designed to reach the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some of our current and emerging outreach endeavors include: food pantry, prison ministry, nursing home ministry and Spanish ministry. We emphasize a lifestyle of personal evangelism and desire that every member of the church be involved in some type of outreach activity on a regular basis.
